A VPS is a Virtual Private Server, which operates similar to a dedicated server like the ones often co-located at major data centres by hedge funds and high-frequency trading firms, except a VPS offers a fraction of the server's full hardware resources (and consequently priced at a fraction of the cost of a full dedicated server) which is typically more than enough for most automated trading strategies. The type of VPS often used by traders to run automated trading systems (such as MetaTrader Expert Advisors) are typically Windows-based servers. Since most automated trading strategies require the computer (which is running an automated trading robot) to watch the market at all times of day to catch trading opportunities and exit criteria, the main purpose of a VPS for traders is to host your trading platform remotely so that your automated algorithms can run 24 hours a day even when you are away from your computer and your computer may lose its internet connection.

Depending on the amount of resources required for a trading strategy, the cost of the VPS package may vary as you may choose a different package with more or less resources than another trader may require. In any case, Commercial Network Services offers a variety of VPS packages specifically designed for traders. The lowest cost package starts at less than $35 USD per month. So if you qualify for the $35 USD sponsorship from our company, the full monthly cost of your VPS would have been paid for by us. With a higher priced package, you would have received a significant discount on your monthly VPS cost.

There is no contract required. You can pay for your VPS service on a month-to-month basis. If you choose, however, you may also pay for your VPS on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annual basis. However, you must qualify for your sponsorship amount from BNFX on a monthly basis.

To qualify for the promotion, you must trade a minimum of 100 Standard Lots (round-turn) within the billing month. (We no longer require a minimum balance to be maintained in order to qualify.) If you qualify for the promotion, $35 USD will be posted to your invoice (issued by CNS) when your invoice is due. If your monthly cost exceeds $35 USD, you will be responsible for paying the remainder of your invoice to CNS using any payment method they may accept.
